The purpose of the Lakeland Care CME program is to provide diverse, evidence based educational opportunities that increase physician competence, enhance practice performance, promote patient safety, and improve patient outcomes within our Southwestern Michigan community.
To offer numerous delivery methods of Continuing Medical Education via interactive didactic lectures, panel discussions, multidisciplinary cancer conferences, and enduring materials.
Lakeland Care CME provides Continuing Medical Education to Physicians, Residents, Mid-level Providers, and other healthcare associates. Lakeland Care CME is accredited by Michigan State Medical Society.
The Weekly CME Programs are held on Thursdays from 12:00 noon – 1:00 PM, Labor Day through Memorial Day. These programs are videoconferenced to various Spectrum Health Lakeland affiliates including Niles, Watervliet, and Marie Yeager Cancer Center locations. All lectures are recorded and placed on the Lakeland Care Network website called COMET – Continuing Online Medical Education and Training for enduring CME education.
