Title: HIPAA, Privacy, and Considerations for your Practice
- While Privacy and HIPAA seem simple to understand, the application of the rule can be complex. In this member session, we will cover the original law, its intent, and how it has evolved to what it is today.
- We will cover some of the basic components of the law and how it applies to individual practices including what is permissible, what is not, and how to handle investigations and breaches.
- In addition, we’ll discuss what the government is focused on when it comes to privacy and potential issues with access or breach.
- Lastly, we will be sharing some real-world examples to help you better understand how to remain compliant in your practice.
