Title: Denials, Rejections and Documentation Requirements
Key Topics Include:
• Managing Rejections and Denials: Learn how to prevent and correct common rejections and denials to ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Choosing the Right Level of Service: this session includes an overview of how to select the appropriate level of service for your patients using the latest updates from the American Medical Association (AMA) guidelines (2021 & 2023 editions).
• Evaluation and Management (E/M) Documentation Requirements: Understand the essential documentation requirements for E/M services and how to stay compliant with current standards.
• Review of E/M Documentation: Walk through real-life examples of E/M documentation and evaluate best practices for accurate and compliant reporting.

** WPS is Wisconsin Physician Service. They are the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) for Jurisdictions 5 (IA, KS, MO, NE) and 8 (IN and MI). As the MAC, they are responsible to CMS for administering Medicare claims processing for both jurisdictions.

Cost: $20.00 per person regardless of where you’ll be joining us. Must be registered by noon the Friday prior to the meeting. Late Registrants: $30.00 per person
Payment: Payment is expected by the meeting date and can be made at the door via a check made payable to Lakeland Medical Office Association, or with cash (exact change), or you can mail your check to LMOA, PO Box 144, Stevensville, MI 49127, or if you are a Corewell team member, you can charge your department directly.
