The Lakeland Medical Office Association (LMOA) invites you to attend their April luncheon and meeting.
PROGRAM: Risk Mitigation Best Practices in the Physician Office
Presented by our professional liability insurance partner, MPIE, this program will address strategies for reducing risk in the office practice setting through a review of findings from risk management assessments and claims scenarios. Attendees will gain insight into specific office practices, procedures or staff service level standards that may have contributed to, or may have caused, the defense of a malpractice claim to be more difficult. This program is intended to promote thinking outside of the normal day-to-day duties, to see the bigger picture, and to understand that what goes on in the practice can affect the physician, the staff, and your patients.
Topics to be explored include:
- Fostering a safety culture
- Patient communication
- Medication safety
