A message this morning from Priority Health:
As you may know, InterQual, managed by Change Healthcare, is experiencing a national outage. This outage impacts prior authorization processes for providers and payors across the country.
GuidingCare submissions will pend
You can continue to submit your prior authorization request through GuidingCare. However, requests for services which would typically walk you through a series of medical necessity questions will skip this step and pend for review upon submission, rather than automatically approving.
While we don’t have a timeline from Change Healthcare for resolution, we’ll keep you informed and will let you know when InterQual is operational again.
