FQHC/RHC Providers - Changes in Billing of Medicaid Services

June 5, 2017

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is requiring a change to the Federally Qualified Centers (FQHC), Rural Health Clinics (RHC) and Tribal Health Centers (THC) claim format for billing Medicaid services.

Effective July 1, 2017, FHQC, RHC and THCs must use the institutional form outlined by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for billing these services. Medicaid Health Plans are expected to accept claims from the impacted FQHC/RHC/THC providers on the institutional claim format beginning with dates of service on or after July 1, 2017.
