Introducing Cigna's new Virtual Care Reimbursement Policy

There’s no question. It’s a different health care environment today. But with Cigna’s new virtual care reimbursement policy for commercial medical services, there’s one thing that doesn’t need to change: the connection you have with your patients with Cigna coverage – even if they can’t come into your office, and even beyond COVID‑19.

Effective January 1, 2021*, our new policy ensures participating providers in the Cigna medical network** can continue to receive reimbursement for a variety of virtual services that are typically performed in an office, such as:

•Routine check-ups

•General wellness visits

•New patient exams

•Behavioral assessments
