Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network are experiencing delays in processing faxed prior authorization requests for commercial members. We ask that you encourage your practices who have faxed requests to us to wait for a response. Resending the fax will further delay response time.
Please also encourage your practices to submit requests through an ePA tool such as CoverMyMeds® or SureScripts for the fastest response.
Attached is a provider alert that we’ve posted to web-DENIS along with flyers promoting the use of ePA tools for our commercial and Medicare Advantage products.
